As an enthusiast of jewelry, I believe it its true essence is realized when worn daily, transcending its role as mere adornment confined to storage.
With a decade-long ownership of Milan Weddings, a prominent wedding decorating business, I found myself at a crossroads following its sale. Prompted by familial encouragement to seek out a creative outlet, I discovered a newfound passion for crafting gemstone bracelets.
In September 2020, Mumu
Beads was born, marking the inception of my journey into the world of custom jewelry. Specializing in custom gemstone bracelets, alongside meticulously crafted necklaces and earrings, Mumu Beads quickly became a labor of love and expression.
Many inquire about the origin of the name Mumu Beads. It pays homage to my youngest daughter, Maarya, affectionately known as Mumu within our close-knit family.
Maarya, despite her struggles with epilepsy, myasthenia gravis, and cognitive delays, radiates boundless love and warmth. Her journey, shared on @celebrating_maarya (Instagram), reflects her contagious zest for life, her love for Disney villains, music, and snuggles - endearing her to all who encounter her story.
In her presence, we've learned invaluable lessons, embracing each day with positivity and gratitude for life's simple joys, inspired by her unwavering spirit.
My deepest hope is for each creation from Mumu Beads brings the wearer aesthetic pleasure and also embodies the warmth and joy that Maarya infuses into my life.
